This step-by-step guide with pictures shows a secret technique to putting on your Faja Body Shaper like a pro. The first time is always the hardest, so this easy guide will make it much easier!

What is a Faja? A Faja is a very popular high compression garment worn as shapewear which dramatically reduces your body measurements (up to a dress size).

How to Put On A Faja Body Shaper or Bodysuit

  1. Ensure you have clean dry skin. Remove hand jewellery when putting on your Faja to avoid anything getting caught.
  2. Start by either sitting or standing.
  3. If you have a Faja Body Shaper / thong, put one leg through each leg hole and gently pull the Faja up your body, doing a little shimmy as you go so it sits on your hips and the bum lifter is in place.

4.   If you have a Faja Bodysuit with long legs, turn the garment inside out first and align the seams. Like you would a pair of tights (or pantyhose for our US customers), put one leg in first and roll it up one leg gently. Now put your other leg in the other leg hole and repeat.

Pull and shimmy your Faja up over your thighs, adjusting it so it finally sits on your hips and the bum lifter is in place.

5.     If your Faja garment has straps, adjust them and fit it over your shoulders.
        If it is strapless, pull it up and wrap the faja around your torso.

6.     Fastening-Up Trick - You can continue to fasten up sitting or standing however customers find laying down on a bed much easier as the tummy is nice and flat. The Laying Down Technique is recommended for plus size and for those with back issues.

7.      The Laying Down Technique - Lay down on a bed with the unfastened Faja underneath you and wrapped around your torso. 

Start from the bottom of your Faja. Choose the widest hook (the first hook) of the internal hook and eye closure system and fasten it. One by one, hook up all the internal hook and eye closures and work your way up. These hooks will help hold your Faja in place and make zipping up easier.

8.     The Final and Best Bit. I find Zipping-up in stages easier by meeting each hook and eye one by one. You may need to pull from the sides or the back to make it easier to fasten up, especially over the tummy area.

Straighten out the cotton lining beneath the zipper as you go. Ensure there are no wrinkles, and skin is safely out of the way.

Well Done! All zipped, shaped up and ready to go! Enjoy your new silhouette.


TIPS:
Remember, your Faja Body Shaper has stretch in it and will mould to your body the more you wear it. This allows you to move to the second hook as you get more familiar to it. It will also be easier to put on.
